About the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team
The Office of the President and Provost (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) works to advance equality, diversity and inclusion at ÂÒÂ×Ðã. The team draws from diverse expertise to provide informed advice andÌýengagement thatÌýsupport faculties and departments to develop EDI initiatives and good practice at ÂÒÂ×Ðã. The structure and purpose of the team areÌýto embed equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives into core business and to mainstream the values on which ÂÒÂ×Ðã was founded.Ìý The EDI team works with and supports a number of steering groups and networks. These play an important function in:
- Representing the views of under-represented or marginalised staff
- Helping develop practical solutions to address equality issues
- Providing opportunities for networking and peer support among group members.
As a strategy team within Provost's Office, the EDI team can offer advice but do not undertake casework on behalf of individuals. The EDI team is often asked to make comment and provide advice on pressing equality issues, including on high-profile public debates or sensitive issues in the media. Any comments provided are aligned with the purpose and expertise of the team, and may not always represent the views of the President and Provost.

I am the Training Manager for the central EDI Team. My remit focusses on creating and delivering training across staff and student groups on issues such as bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct and race. I deliver sessions in-person, online and have developed modules for self-led learning.ÌýÌý
Colleagues are welcome to book training using our current portfolio or, where possible, I can create bespoke content, depending on capacity.Ìý

I'm the EDI Operations Manager and part of the EDI Leadership team. I am responsible for the management and development of operational services within the team. I am the lead on communications and events; I'm responsible for managing EDI budgets and I provide advisory support and more specifically support around reasonable adjustments for both staff and line managers.

I am an EDI Manager (Programmes and Charters) supporting and overseeing the work under the programmatic themes Staff Recruitment and Induction, Pay Gap, Career Development and Progression. Some of the projects included in this portfolio are Fair Recruitment Specialists and Accelerate to Leadership and our Positive Action Hiring Programme and the 50 Black Academics project.Ìý
I am also faculty liaison for BEAMS and will be working closely with ±«°ä³¢â€™s Race Equality Steering Group (RESG) and Disability Equality Implementation Group (DEIG) Staff Subgroup.Ìý

I am an EDI Manager (Programmes & Charters) supporting the monitoring and implementation of actions across our Charter applications and institutional action plans. I oversee the following programmatic themes: Student Recruitment & Induction, Student Outcomes, Curriculum & Education, and student-focused Welfare & Wellbeing.ÌýÌý
I also support the LGBTQ+ Equality Steering Group (LESG) and the student subgroup of the Disability Equality Steering Group (DESG).

I’m on secondment as EDI Manager (Programmes & Charters). In this role, I am the project lead for the cross-institutional B-MEntor programmes and the upcoming launch of the EDI Community of Practice. I support the work of the Gender Equality Steering Group, and the programmatic theme of Pay Gap, Career Development and Career Progression. I also work with Lizzy on the EDI liaison with Professional Services and the Vice Presidents’ Offices.Ìý

My role involves leading projects such as the Athena Swan Internal Mock panels and collaborating closely with the Head of EDI Programs and Charters to achieve milestones set for the Equality Management Advancement Group (EMAG).
